Privacy policy

This site is run by Christian Beatty, who operates Rapid Stack Studio. It is a temporary placeholder while the Rapid Stack site is being rebuilt. If you have questions about this policy, email christian@rapidstackstudio.com.

This site has no accounts and no sign-up or contact form. If you email me, I receive whatever you choose to send, and I use it only to reply to you.

If you book a call, you do it through Cal.com, which collects the details you enter, such as your name, email address and chosen time. I receive those details, along with which ad or link you came from (for example the "utm" values in the link you clicked). I store them in a Notion database I use to track leads, and I use them only to schedule and hold the call, follow up with you, and understand which ads work.

Like most websites, the hosting provider for this site may log technical information about each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you request and the time of the request. This is used to run and secure the site.

This site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the links you click, your device and browser type, the site that referred you, and your approximate location. This information is sent to Google and stored on its servers.

I use this information only to understand traffic and improve the site, not to identify you personally. How Google uses data from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser, or by using a tracker-blocking extension.

This site uses the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It uses cookies and similar technologies to record visits and actions on this site, such as viewing a page or clicking the button to book a call. That information is sent to Meta, which I use to measure and improve my ads and to show ads to people who have visited. I may also send Meta information about a booking, such as a hashed version of your email address, so it can match the booking to an ad.

Meta's use of data is described in its privacy policy. You can control the ads you see in your Meta ad settings, or block the Pixel with your browser settings or a tracker-blocking extension.

This site uses a service called RB2B to help identify the companies and, in some cases, the individual people who visit. To do this, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to link website visits and logins to other personal information, including email addresses.

I may use what RB2B provides to understand who is interested in my work and to follow up with relevant outreach. Email addresses obtained this way may receive communications and marketing from me, or from RB2B or its service providers.

You can opt out of receiving this advertising by visiting app.retention.com/optout. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also opt out of the collection of your personal data in compliance with GDPR by visiting rb2b.com/rb2b-gdpr-opt-out.

This site links to other services, including Cal.com (to book a call), Google Calendar, LinkedIn and GitHub. Those services have their own privacy policies, and I do not control what they collect.

On the background page, moving your mouse over a project can load a preview of that project's live website inside a small window. Loading a preview sends your browser to that third-party site, which may set its own cookies or collect its own analytics under its own policy.

You can use the opt-out links above, block or clear cookies in your browser, or use a browser extension that blocks trackers. You can also email me to ask what information I hold about you, to correct it, or to ask me to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or state privacy laws, and I will honor valid requests.

This site is not directed to children, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.
